Customer Background:
Customer 'B' is a marble and granite company that imports materials from around the world and showcases its products in a 150,000 square-foot showroom. They have been in business for 25 years and are located in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Florida.
Business Challenge:
Because of its status as a heavy, yet fine and exotic product, it’s difficult to find carriers who are willing to ship marble. Further hindering the transport process is the high frequency of residential deliveries, making it crucial that communication lines stay open and in sync.
Solution:
Action Transport, Inc. was able to use its experience and long-standing relationships with the carriers in its extensive network to locate quality carriers who would not only ship Customer 'B'’s product, but provide the accessorial services required to get it shipped safely and efficiently. Carriers were supplied who could offer lift gate services to get the stone from the trailer to the ground. Also, to further accommodate the customers, inside deliveries were even made in to homeowners’ garages.
Results:
Customer 'B' continues to ship using Action Transport, Inc., mostly through Less than Truckload carriers and their business enjoys expedited delivery, low rates and the assurance that they have a partner on the road who will go the extra mile.
